WHY I LOVE MYLES MUNROE
Myles Munroe taught me that purpose, leadership, and wealth are not separate compartments. They are one kingdom assignment lived out in the marketplace.
I love Myles Munroe. He did not preach poverty as spirituality. He taught that every human was born to lead, that success is predictable when you operate by kingdom laws, and that the best businesses are born in crisis because crisis creates creativity.
The video is Mastering Wealth: Dr. Myles Munroe's Business Success Principles from Munroe Global (official). Yes, the production feels dated. The principles are not. That is why I built this handout: so you capture every lesson without pausing forty times.
I am curating with deep respect for Myles's legacy. I am not claiming this as my original teaching. I built the premium companion so my Patreon family can apply kingdom business principles this week.
SUCCESS IS PREDICTABLE
Myles opens with a line that changed how I think about business: "Success is predictable. So is failure. Both of them are results of law."
Wealth is not random. Poverty is not random. Both follow laws you either know or violate.
- Either you know the laws or you don't. Munroe is not talking about luck, hype, or wishful thinking.
- Kingdom business operates by spiritual law. When you align, results become predictable over time.
- Failure is also predictable. When you violate law, you do not break the law. The law breaks you.
- This removes excuse-making. You are not waiting on a mood. You are applying principles.
Wealth in the kingdom is tied to dominion, productivity, and solving problems God designed you to solve. Munroe builds the whole message on this foundation.
EVERY HUMAN WAS BORN TO LEAD
"Every human being was born to be a leader. Most of them will die as followers. And that's because they've never been told how to become that leader."
- Sheep are the dumbest animals on earth because they have no leader among themselves. They only follow what is in front of them.
- Sheep fall off cliffs, into rivers, over mountains. They are the only animals God created that need a human shepherd.
- If someone calls you a sheep, that is not a compliment. God wants to guide you back to law and principle, not leave you lost.
- Business wealth requires leadership. You cannot build enterprise while thinking like a follower waiting for permission.
THE LION VS THE SHEEP
Munroe's most quoted business leadership parable from this message:
An army of sheep led by a lion will always defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.
- Leadership determines everything. Not talent alone. Not resources alone. Leadership.
- If your leader stops growing, you stop growing. Stagnant leadership caps the whole organization.
- God identifies with leadership. The lion leads the animal kingdom. The eagle leads the bird kingdom.
- Your business, ministry, or federal team rises or falls on the lion-or-sheep quality of leadership at the top.
ATTITUDE IS THE DIFFERENCE
"What makes the lion the leader? I discovered from my research one simple word: attitude."
- You are exactly what you are because of your attitude. Munroe drives this home repeatedly.
- Attitude is more important than power, title, social status, or wealth in determining success or failure in any venture.
- Lions look at problems and think: "We can handle that. We can do this. We can achieve this."
- Sheep wait for conditions to be perfect. Lions move with kingdom confidence even in crisis.
FOUR GIVES + NINE CREATES
Munroe numbers what leaders contribute. Use this as a leadership audit for your business or ministry team.
Leaders give strength, expertise, courage, and belief. Leaders create commitment to a future that has not arrived yet.
CRISIS CREATES BUSINESS
"Crisis creates creativity. And this is where business comes in. The best time to go into business is during a crisis."
The key to life is to look for crisis. Those who see opportunity become wealthy.
- Crisis produces opportunities. Those who see them become wealthy. Those who panic stay poor.
- The kingdom of heaven is never in crisis. It feeds on crisis. Munroe says he bought an aircraft in the middle of crisis because he lives in a different country: the kingdom.
- Jesus performed miracles in crisis moments. Crisis was the platform, not the problem.
- Crisis produces promotion. When you handle pressure with lion leadership, you get elevated.
GREED IS THE CAUSE OF POVERTY
Munroe identifies the source of global crisis: greed. "A man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
- Jesus said it plainly. Life is not about accumulating things. Kingdom wealth is about stewardship and value creation.
- The world's crisis is a result of greed, not lack of resources. Munroe connects globalization pressure to selfish accumulation.
- Poverty and greed are linked in Munroe's framework. Hoarding, extraction, and accumulation without solving problems keeps people poor.
- Kingdom business enriches others. God's way to wealth is creating massive value for others and bringing it to market.
ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT
"It takes discernment, the entrepreneurial spirit, to see a forest in a seed. This is why business begins with an idea."
- Leaders look at problems, challenges, and obstacles and think: "We can handle that."
- God thought that way. He looked at chaos and saw order. He looked at emptiness and saw fullness.
- Business begins with an idea. The idea is the seed. Leadership is the lion that protects and grows the seed.
- Wealth follows problem-solvers. Where there is a problem, there is a business opportunity when you have kingdom eyes.
GLOBALIZATION, KINGDOM, AND PROMOTION
Munroe addresses the global economy directly: globalization is the biggest challenge, but the kingdom of God is present now.
- Globalization means what happens in other countries affects yours. Independence is tested. Leaders must think globally.
- The kingdom of God is present now. Munroe lived from that reality in business decisions, including major purchases during economic crisis.
- Crisis produces promotion for those who respond with creativity, leadership, and kingdom confidence.
- Do not build from fear. Build from kingdom laws, lion attitude, and problem-solving vision.
HOW RICK CONNECTS THIS TO GRACE
Myles gave me kingdom architecture for business. Grace gives me the power to walk it out without performance religion or poverty mindset.
- Purpose before profit. Munroe: born to lead. Rick: purpose predates presence. You are discovering assignment, not creating it. GOSHEN seven pillars guide →
- Wealth follows value creation, not greed. Same lane as Myron Golden's Scripture business teaching. Myron Golden guide →
- Systems before multiplication. Lion leadership without systems becomes burnout. Anointing + systems guide →
- Crisis + grace. Munroe: crisis creates opportunity. Rick: "If I'm facing it, God trusts me with it." Pressure is assignment, not punishment.
- THE BLESSING is marketplace reality. I teach this in my Patreon kingdom foundations work. Munroe gives the leadership lens. Grace gives the access.
- Centralized vision, decentralized execution. Lion sets attitude and strategy. Team executes. Workbook →
