WHY I SHARED THIS VIDEO WITH YOU

A lot of faith-driven entrepreneurs treat business like a side project that funds the "real" ministry. That theology is backwards. And it keeps kingdom leaders small.

I share a lot of teaching on grace, systems, and leadership on this Patreon. This video from GOSHEN goes straight at a question I hear constantly: How do I build a business with God, not just around God?

I did not record another video on this topic. I found one that lands the dominion mandate with force, Scripture, and practical conviction. Then I built you this handout to work it.

The video is titled How to Build a Business With God. It anchors everything in Genesis 1:28, Luke 19, and Haggai. If you have been waiting for "the right time," building comfort first while the assignment sits unbuilt, or treating your business like it is less spiritual than ministry, this will confront you in the right way.

THE MOST DANGEROUS THING IN YOUR LIFE

It is not your competition. It is not cash flow. It is not the economy. It is the size of the thought you have been allowing yourself to think about what you are building.

Small thinking produces small building. If you treat your business like a side hustle unrelated to the kingdom, you will keep looking for hacks and shortcuts instead of building from the blueprint God already gave you.

God's first command was the most aggressive entrepreneurial directive in human history. That is your business plan.

GENESIS 1:28 — THE FIRST BUSINESS DIRECTIVE

Before the fall. Before the Law. Before any religious institution. God opened His mouth and gave humanity an assignment.

Genesis 1:28 ERV

"God blessed them and said to them, 'Have many children. Fill the earth and take control of it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the air. Rule over every living thing that moves on the earth.'"

Be fruitful = the productivity mandate. Create. Produce. Generate value.
Multiply = scale. Growth is not greed when it is under divine assignment.
Fill the earth = market expansion. Your reach is part of the mandate.
Subdue = problem solving. Bring order to chaos in your sector.
Dominion = authority and leadership in the created order. That is your business plan.

You are not in business by accident. You are in business by divine design.

YOUR BUSINESS IS NOT LESSER THAN MINISTRY

The single biggest theological error among kingdom people is this: ministry is the real calling and business is what you do to fund it.

Your business is not a support vehicle for ministry. Your business is part of your spiritual mandate. It is your altar. It is a territorial instrument.

Every enterprise you build plants a flag for the kingdom in a sector of industry. You are not just generating income. You are extending the rule of the kingdom to the gates in your city.

Write it down as you watch: Where in your life have you been treating your business as something small, unrelated to the kingdom? What would change if you built from the dominion mandate as your primary directive?

OCCUPY UNTIL I RETURN (LUKE 19)

Jesus gave ten servants ten minas and said, "Engage in business until I return." The Greek word means to be actively trading, diligently conducting business with energy and intention.

Luke 19:13 TPT

"He said to them, 'Conduct your business in this world until I return.'"

Occupying is not optional. This is the operating order of the kingdom for kingdom citizens.
Retreating from the marketplace is not humility. When God called you to build, absence is disobedience.
Business is a standing order. Not a suggestion for the spiritually advanced. It is for you, now.

POSSESS THE GATES

God promised Abraham that his offspring would possess the gate of his enemies. In the ancient world, whoever held the gate held the city.

Genesis 22:17 AMPC

"And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies."

The gates of the modern world are the industries you engage: finance, technology, media, healthcare, real estate, education, government contracting. They are held or they are surrendered.

If you are absent from your gate, someone else is governing the territory assigned to you.

Do not be a spectator. Be a gate holder.

STOP THE DELAY

Most kingdom entrepreneurs are not occupying the gates because they are waiting. Haggai 1 names it precisely.

Haggai 1:2-4 TPT

"The people were saying, 'It's not yet time to rebuild the house of the Lord.' Then the Lord sent this message through the prophet Haggai: 'Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins?'"

They had land, resources, and freedom enough to build paneled houses for themselves.
But regarding God's assignment: "It's not yet time."
We dress delay up as theology. "The market isn't ready." "I need more preparation." "I'm waiting on God's timing."
There is wisdom in discerning seasons. There is cowardice in using timing as a permanent delay mechanism.

Kingdom Principle

God blew it away.

Haggai 1:9: They looked for much, but it came to little. When they brought it home, God blew it away. Why? Because they were building for themselves while His assignment sat unbuilt. Alignment matters. Delay has a cost.

CONSIDER YOUR WAYS — THE DIAGNOSTIC

How do you know if you are in the delay pattern? God gives you the instrument in Haggai. He says it four times in two chapters. That is not condemnation. It is the most gracious diagnostic in Scripture.

Haggai 1:5-6 TPT

"Now the Lord God says, 'Carefully consider your ways. You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough. You drink but never have your fill. You put on clothes but cannot get warm. You earn wages only to put them into a bag with holes.'"

The bag with holes is not just a cash flow problem. It is a covenant signal.
Trace the line between your covenant posture and your economic outcomes.
Where are you working hard but harvesting little? Be honest. Do not ignore it anymore.
Where are you building your own house while the kingdom assignment sits unbuilt?

KINGDOM ECONOMY VS PHARAOH ECONOMY

There is a kingdom economy and a dark Pharaoh economy. They are not the same. Debt, scarcity, wages that never stretch far enough: that is the fruit of building in the wrong system without knowing it.

Scarcity mindset. Earned-only thinking. Building for self first. Bag with holes.

Consider your ways. Name the misalignment. Reorder priorities under God's assignment.

The pathway back is honest words: Consider your ways.

FROM THIS DAY I WILL BLESS YOU

There is a powerful promise on the other side of honesty. Not someday. From this day.

Haggai 2:8, 19 TPT

"'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the Lord. 'From this day forward I will bless you.'"

From this day forward. Not when conditions improve. Not when you finally reorder everything perfectly.
The bag stops leaking when alignment shifts. That is the grace of the kingdom.
Wealth transfer is an entrepreneurial event happening under the Genesis business directive.
Provision follows businesses that compete, serve with excellence, win in the marketplace, and stay aligned under God's purposes.

Haggai 2:23 TPT

"On that day I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel, and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you."

You are not watching history. You are making history.

HOW RICK CONNECTS THIS TO GRACE

This video is strong on mandate, gates, and alignment. Here is how I connect it to what I teach you every week.

Identity before activity. You are not trying to qualify for the dominion mandate. You discover it. God planned you before birth. Your business is part of that discovery, not a backup plan.

I possess the gate You assigned me. I will not be a spectator in my sector.

I do away with delay dressed up as patience. The time is now.

I consider my ways honestly and reorder what must change today.

From this day forward, I align with Your assignment and receive kingdom provision.

The silver is Yours and the gold is Yours. I steward wealth transfer with excellence.

I am not watching history. I am making history under Your directive.

I declare this by faith. In Jesus' name. Amen!
