I listen to Myron Golden on a regular basis. I’ve never met him. One day I will, but I consider him a mentor and I glean a lot from his teachings.
What he just said about wealth and generational wealth is something I never really heard framed this way. So I want to share this video with you. I’m also sharing some notes, like my own personal notes. Notes from the video, notes from my own mind, my own heart about this.
Before we get to generational wealth, he talks about generational worship. I like the way he defines worship.

He talks about generational wisdom, and the wisdom is really coming from the Word of God. So we want to teach our children to worship, to yield our life to God’s purpose for our lives, to seek the wisdom of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. Then he talks about generational work. Because if you don’t work, you’re not going to eat, the Bible says. So we need to teach our children the disciplines around a work ethic that is godly, holy, and very disciplined. And then lastly, he talks about generational wealth and how a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.
The way he framed this all from the Bible, very practical, is something I just want to share with you. I’m giving you his video, notes from it, and my thoughts. I’m going to put this all together for you. I pray that this be a blessing to you. I believe it’s going to be a blessing. So let’s discuss it in the comments.

True generational wealth is not merely accumulating money for yourself. It is building, protecting, and passing on a package that lasts: a heart posture toward God, applied truth, a family enterprise, and an inheritance so future descendants never have to start from scratch.
Order matters. Wealth handed down without worship is eventually lost, or it becomes empty money without meaning. Myron’s summary thread is simple enough to teach a child and deep enough to rebuild a house:

Chapter 01 · Generational Worship
Yielded position, not Sunday performance
Myron’s definition + key distinctions
Worship is not “praise with hands raised.” Praise is an upward expression. Worship is a downward position: yielding to God’s purpose for your life, recognizing God’s sovereignty (not a casual “man upstairs” idea).
Key principle: anytime generational wealth was handed down without generational worship, the wealth was lost, because everything already belongs to God. Refusing to bow wastes the opportunity.
Money vs. wealth: people can leave millions without loving God. That is money, not wealth, and often without meaning. Heaven gives earth meaning. Earth gives heaven expression. Getting meaning from expression alone empties life. Getting orders from God fills life even before the money arrives.
Biblical anchors (as taught)
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Exodus 3:6): worship across generations. Everlasting covenant with seed in their generations (Genesis 17:7). Abraham’s richness tied to God’s blessing (Genesis 13:2; 24:1–2, 34–36). Judges 2:10–15 pattern: a generation that “knew not the Lord” forsakes God and loses protection, provision, and land.
Practical application
Treat worship as daily yielded leadership at home, not Sunday performance while rebelling Monday through Saturday.
Teach children who God is and what He has done. Break the Judges pattern.
Frame business success as stewardship of what is already God’s.
Ask “Is God king of me?” before “How do I get richer?”
Praise goes up as expression. Worship bows down as position, yielding to God’s purpose.

Chapter 02 · Generational Wisdom
Apply truth. Do not stop at information.
Myron’s definition + key distinctions
Wisdom is applying God’s truth to life experience. Skillful application of truth, not mere information. You can know how without knowing why. Wisdom does the Word.
Stages toward wisdom (nested teaching):
1 Ignorance2 Knowledge3 Understanding4 Wisdom! Foolishness = abandon truth
Ignorance is the absence of truth. Knowledge is accumulation of truth. Understanding is assimilation and comprehension. Wisdom is application. Foolishness is the warning lane: abandoning the truth after having it.
Biblical anchors (as taught)
Wise son vs. foolish son (Proverbs 10:1; 15:20; 29:3; 17:25). Esau selling the birthright (Hebrews / Genesis themes): short-term appetite vs. long-term inheritance. Solomon’s warning about leaving labor to an unknown heir (Ecclesiastes 2:18–19), tied to abandoning the Lord after prosperity.
Practical application
Disciple kids through the full pipeline. Do not stop at knowledge (facts, verses memorized, “how to play the song”). Push to understanding and doing.
Measure wisdom by applied obedience, not IQ or Bible trivia.
Protect the next generation from “foolish son” outcomes that turn inheritance into grief.
After success, stay yielded. Do not credit self and lose the kingdom (Solomon caution).
When you get orders from headquarters and do what you were made for, life feels full, even before the money.

Chapter 03 · Generational Work
Family enterprise, not only “get a job”
Myron’s definition + key distinctions
Generational work is a family business: an enterprise the next generation can enter, learn in, and inherit, not merely “get a job.”
The kingdom of God operates like a household enterprise you are born into and inherit, not only a corporation you get hired into. Jesus at 12: “about my Father’s business” (Luke 2:49). The Father works / the Son works. The Son does what He sees the Father do (John 5:17, 5:19). Parables of the kingdom often use business imagery (talents, treasure in a field).
Desire vs. want (side insight as taught): desire framed as of/from the Father. Wealth as ability to turn what you have into what you desire from the Father. The path to what you desire often requires releasing what you have.
Biblical / kingdom pattern (as taught)
Luke 2:49; John 5:17, 5:19; household inheritance pattern of the kingdom; business imagery in kingdom parables. Myron also models father entrepreneurship, paying family and team well and on time, and letting kids learn how money is made inside the enterprise rather than only receiving cash.
Practical application
Build (or join) a family enterprise with clear SOPs, roles, and pay.
Bring kids into real work early. Pay them fairly. Teach ownership, not entitlement.
Use the business as discipleship: character, skill, customer value, stewardship.
Aim: family business “worked out” so Step 4 (wealth transfer) has a vehicle.
Let family business become a cultural shield: kids see real wealth and work at home, not only street counterfeits.

Chapter 04 · Generational Wealth
No descendant starts from scratch
Myron’s definition + key distinctions
Generational wealth is intentional building of assets and inheritance so none of your future descendants ever have to start from scratch. House and riches as an inheritance pattern. Ambition without avarice or greed, because you are building for others.
This is not lifestyle flex that consumes the inheritance. This is multi-generational transfer: assets, business equity, housing, education capital, and the faith package that keeps those assets from becoming empty money.
Biblical anchors (as taught)
Better to give than receive: give the next generation a head start you wish you had. A good man leaves inheritance to children’s children. House and riches as inheritance of fathers. Wealth of the sinner laid up for the just. 1 Timothy 5:8: failing to provide for one’s own is denying the faith. Psalm 112:1–3: fear of the Lord, seed mighty, wealth and riches in his house, and righteousness enduring (riches + righteousness in the same house). Deuteronomy 8:18: God gives power to get wealth to establish His covenant with the fathers. Use the power He already gave.
Practical application
Plan multi-generational transfer: assets, business equity, housing, education capital, not lifestyle flex that burns the seed.
Reject the “spending my children’s inheritance” mindset.
Use provision for others as holy ambition. Think bigger without needing the Lamborghini as the goal.
Remember: God establishing covenant is the why behind power to get wealth. Tie wealth-building back to Steps 1–3.
Pass the baton of worship, wisdom, work, and wealth as a whole package.
You may not come from a wealthy family, but make sure a wealthy family comes from you.
