## How to Use This Template

1. Open this file. Read it through once.
2. Replace every `[BRACKETED]` placeholder with your specifics.
3. The slide-by-slide section is where you spend the most time. Be concrete. The more specific you are, the better the output.
4. When the template is filled in, copy the entire prompt body (everything between the two `=====` markers below).
5. Go to claude.ai on the web. Click Design. Start a new slide deck. Paste. Send. Wait about 5 minutes.
6. Iterate in the same session until you love it.
7. Export to PowerPoint, PDF, HTML, or send to Canva.
8. Save the finished design as a Template inside Claude Design so the next deck is even faster.

---

## ===== PROMPT BODY STARTS =====

You are designing a [NUMBER] slide presentation for [YOUR COMPANY NAME]. The audience is [WHO]. The topic is [TOPIC OR CHAPTER NAME].

Output format is a single self-contained HTML artifact rendered as a slide presentation. Use one section per slide, each filling a 16:9 viewport (1920x1080 reference). Add keyboard navigation (arrow keys, space) and a slide counter. The deck must print cleanly when sent to PDF.

## DESIGN SYSTEM (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

### Brand Colors

| Token | Hex | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | `[#HEX]` | Accents, callouts, key quotes, slide numbers, dividers |
| Secondary | `[#HEX]` | Dark backgrounds, headers, body text on light slides |

- Title size: 56-72px. Body size: 22-28px. Caption size: 16-18px. Slide number size: 14px, uppercase, tracked +0.1em.

### Layout Rules

Build each slide exactly as specified below.

---

### SLIDE 1: Title Slide

- **Top center:** Small uppercase tracker, primary color: `[YOUR ORG NAME] [SUBTITLE TRACKER]`
- **Center:** Large title, white, 96px: `[DECK TITLE]`
- **Below center:** Primary color, 56px: `[SUBTITLE OR CHAPTER NUMBER]`
- **Below that:** White, 36px: `[ONE-LINE TAGLINE]`
- **Lower left:** White, 18px: `Based on [SOURCE OR ATTRIBUTION]`

- Add a thin primary-color rule across the bottom 12px tall.

---

### SLIDE 2: What We'll Cover Today

- White background, secondary-color title at top: `WHAT WE'LL COVER TODAY`
- Subhead (primary, 22px): `[NUMBER] modules. One central question.`
- Two-column grid, 4 items per column. Each item: orange numeral + secondary-color label.

  - 01 - [AGENDA ITEM 1]
  - 02 - [AGENDA ITEM 2]
  - 03 - [AGENDA ITEM 3]
  - 04 - [AGENDA ITEM 4]
  - 05 - [AGENDA ITEM 5]
  - 06 - [AGENDA ITEM 6]
  - 07 - [AGENDA ITEM 7]
  - 08 - [AGENDA ITEM 8]

---

### SLIDE 3: Why This Matters

- White background. Title: `WHY THIS MATTERS FOR [YOUR ORG OR AUDIENCE]`
- Four-card grid (2x2). Each card has a primary-color icon block and a short headline + body. 1px gray border.

  **Card 1, [HEADLINE]:** [BODY: 1-2 sentences]
  **Card 2, [HEADLINE]:** [BODY: 1-2 sentences]
  **Card 3, [HEADLINE]:** [BODY: 1-2 sentences]
  **Card 4, [HEADLINE]:** [BODY: 1-2 sentences]

---

### SLIDE 4 to N: Content Slides

For every content slide you want, write a block like this:

```
### SLIDE [N]: [SLIDE TITLE]
- Background: [WHITE / SOFT GRAY / SECONDARY]
- Title: [TITLE TEXT]
- Sub: [SUBTITLE OR HOOK LINE]
- Layout: [GRID / SINGLE BODY / TABLE / QUOTE / TWO-COLUMN]
- Body content: [SPECIFIC TEXT, BULLETS, OR DATA]
- Quote callout (if applicable): [QUOTE TEXT] - [ATTRIBUTION]
- Application strip (if applicable): [HOW THIS APPLIES TO YOUR ORG OR AUDIENCE]
```

**Common slide layouts that work well:**

- **Single big quote:** Centered quote, italic, primary-color left rule, attribution below
- **Comparison table:** Two-column, secondary-color header row vs. primary-color header row
- **Five-point card stack:** 5 horizontal pill cards, each with a numbered orange box and a label
- **Lose / gain trade-offs:** "You may lose [X], but you will gain [Y]" with arrow between
- **Three numbered blocks:** Large numbers, headline, body underneath
- **Story slide:** 60% narrative on the left, 40% pull-quote callout on the right

---

### SLIDE [N-1]: Pathway / Big Idea

- Full-bleed secondary color.
- Center, massive bold (120px), white: `[ONE OR TWO WORDS]`
- Below, primary color (32px): `[ONE-SENTENCE DESCRIPTION]`
- Bottom of slide: 2-3 supporting questions in white, 24px.

---

### SLIDE [N]: Discussion / Q&A

- Secondary background. Title in primary: `DISCUSSION`
- 3 large white questions, generously spaced.
  1. [QUESTION 1]
  2. [QUESTION 2]
  3. [QUESTION 3]
- Bottom right: small primary-color italic attribution.

---

## FINAL CHECKS BEFORE YOU RENDER

- Every slide uses [TITLE FONT] for titles and [BODY FONT] for body. No other fonts.
- Every accent is the primary color. Every dark background is the secondary color. No other brand colors.
- No em dashes anywhere. Replace any with commas, periods, colons, or parentheses.
- Every body slide has a footer with slide number `XX / YY` in secondary on the right.
- Title slide and Pathway slide are the only full-bleed secondary slides.
- Tables use zebra rows, secondary header, white text in header.
- The deck prints cleanly: 1920x1080 each, no overflow, backgrounds preserved.

Render the artifact now. Show all [NUMBER] slides. Add arrow-key navigation and a slide counter in the lower right.

## ===== PROMPT BODY ENDS =====

## Common Customizations

### If you are presenting to a specific customer

In the "Why This Matters" slide, name the customer. Replace generic reasons with reasons specific to that customer's situation.

### If you are teaching from a book

Add a "Source" slide near the cover that names the book, author, and which chapter you are on. Pull short, attributed quotes throughout the deck rather than paraphrasing.

### If you are running a multi-session series

Use the "Session X of Y" tracker on the title slide. Keep the same design template across all sessions for visual consistency.

### If you have data or charts

Tell Claude Design exactly what chart type you want (bar, line, donut), with what data, and what the headline takeaway is. Do not assume Claude will pick the right visualization without specifics.

## When This Template Is Wrong For Your Deck

This template assumes a leadership-training, internal-comms, or capability-statement style deck (15 to 25 slides, mostly text with structured callouts). It is not the right shape for:

- **Investor pitch decks.** Use a dedicated pitch deck template; the rhythm is different.
- **Heavy data-storytelling decks.** Build those by hand or with Tableau / Looker output.
- **Workshop decks with interactive exercises.** Claude Design does not yet generate handouts or facilitator guides.
